Summer learning journey

These school holidays I am participating in the summer learning journey which is where they have a website and different activities for that day and you do those activities and then post it on your blog every blog post you make you get points for and also making blog comments. These points you gain can lead you to be in to win prizes. I am not doing for the prizes I am doing it to keep my learning where it should be in my learning curriculum.

For this activity, we would like to learn more about the things that are important to you.

On your blog, please share three things that you treasure and say why they are treasures to you.

The things that treasure me are :

My family because they help out when I need and buy me everything I need.

My pets because if I am feeling down they always cheer me up.

My friends because when I am bored I know that I can do something.

These school holidays I am doing the summer learning journey. I am a little bit behind because my Chromebook was flat and I lost my charger but oh well let's go ahead and continue this. I am doing the day 4 activity 3.

For this activity, imagine that you were asked to create a travel brochure for Tonga (or a country that is important to you). The brochure includes lots of great tips about what to see and do in the country.

If I was allowed to change my name I would probably change my name to:

Roseitta (I would choose this name because it is a name of one of my teddys and I really like the name

Ellie- May (Because I have always wanted to know someone called Ellie may or maybe when I am ollder to have a kid named that.)

That is all the names so far I will add more If I can think of any.

Summer Learning Journey

These school holidays I am taking part in the summer learning journey. In this program, you gain points by making blog posts and leaving blog comments on people's blogs. I enjoy the summer learning journey it has been fun so far.

Learning journey

I am taking part in the summer learning journey over the holidays. I am doing number two of today's activities. I enjoy making blog posts to share with you guys.

If I had to interview a basketball player I would interview Michel Jordan.

These are the five questions I would ask him.

What age was he when he started playing basketball?

Why he decided to play basketball?

Who inspired him to basketball?

How long has he been playing basketball?

If he had to choose a random you year he would playing basketball what year would he chose?

I am going to recount this now.

I was going on an airplane for my second time. I went on an airplane when was 2 but I was little so I was not worrying. Now I am getting older I am afraid of heights. I was about 7 when this day happened. I was going on an airplane up north to wellington and I was excited and nervous because I heard that there was a plane crash in the USA not long before I was going on a plane. I thought we might of crashed but luckily we didn't I enjoy planes now unless we are taking off our landing.

Today is the first day off summer learning and I am doing my first activity at school. I have done two of the teaser week activities but now I am doing the actual activities that you get points for. this what we have to do: For this activity, make a list of ten food items that you could take with you. Please think carefully about what you will take as you won’t have access to a refrigerator or freezer while at sea. Please explain why you would select each item.

Today in class Emma from The summer learning journey came to do some teasers week activities with us. This is the Activity we are doing.

 For this activity, let’s imagine that, like Helen Clark, you are hired to lead an organization. In this case, you are hired to be the principal of your school for one week. How exciting?! What changes would you introduce? Would you make the school day longer? Would you introduce daily trips to the swimming pool?
