The states of matter!

In science today we are learning about the state of mater so we had write down this on a blog post.

Aim: To change the states of water from solid to liquid to gas

Hypothesis: I think that the ice will change to water in the fastest time

Equipment:

1. Beaker

2:Ice

3:Thermometer

4:Electric Element

Method:

1: Put ice in the beaker

2:The electric element with the ice in the beaker was set up on the bench

3:water from the ice is heated on the element

4:measure the temperature of the boiling water 

Finding: 

1: Ice to water took 13 minutes

2:water to boil took 4 minutes

The states of mater of water:

Solid= Ice 

Liquid = Water

Gas= Steam

100 word Challenge

today in wananga we are doing the 100 word challenge which is when the teacher gives us a picture of something and then you have to write a story about it in 100 words here is today's picture,

I am a polar bear but I was so amazing I became famous and stuck in this bubble my new house. If you touch it or even stab it with a knife or something it will still not pop. It is a magic bubble so it does not pop. My name is Icey, and I am 2 and a half years old. When I'm inside my bubble I can see so many different colors such as purple , Green , Pink and blue.

 My Heroes 

In class last week we had to write a paragraph about who our heroes were so I did mine about my mum.

My mum is my hero because she gets me the things  I need, She looks after me and puts a roof over  my head. She is amazing and will let me do anything I ask her to do as long as she knows where i'm going and what i' m doing,She Is awesome

Chinese zodiac signs/ New year

In class today we have been learning about the Chinese new year and the zodiac signs and the four zodiac signs  We picked the Ox, Rat, Rabbit and dog here is our slide and information we made:

Behaviour in science lab

1. Line up in a line outside of the class room.

2. Come into the Lab nice and quietly and get out your Chromebook.

3. Store your bags under your desk out of the way.

4. Put your hands up if you want to say something,one person talks at a time.

5.Wear safety glasses when working with fire or acid.

6. If any material is broken/damaged tell the teacher.

7. place all  broken glass in the broken glass container.
