Through out the school holidays there is a thing called the learning journey so that we do not lose anything that we have learned throughout the term. I chose to do activity 15 We had to research a food from our country of research so I chose to research about lolly cake, We had to video our voice and explain how we make it so I read a recipe so that I could explain how to make it. Winter learning Journey 2021 (activity 11)

 Winter Learning Journey 2021

Through out the school holidays there is a thing called the learning journey so that we do not lose anything that we have learned throughout the term. I chose to do activity 11 which is researching a sport of the country that you have chose to research. I chose to research about New Zealand.

One of the most Popular sports in New Zealand is rugby, there are 500 rugby clubs throughout new Zealand. Basically what you do is just kick the ball into the goals to score but you are able to tackle the other players, You are sometimes able to throw the ball to a team mate. Rugby is not that hard to learn.

 Week 10 (Tuhura)

In class today we have been writing what we have been learning bout this term and what we have enjoyed.

I have enjoyed Learning about different genres and how to play different instruments, I learned to play hot cross buns on the recorder and learned a couple of cords on the ukulele. My favourite band is six 60 because I like there music My favourite one of there songs are white lights.

Through out the term we have been working on music through the decades each week we have completed a slide we wrote about a song from that decade from 1910s-2000s and we had to add the music clip with it to here are my slide:

 School days should be shorter 

Today in Te Ao Whanui we were doing some persuasive writing if we had completed all of our work from last week we got to choose our own topic I chose to do mine about school days should be shorter.

I think that school days should be shorter . Because then you will have more time to hangout with friends and family. School should start at 9am and finish at lunch time. I think that more people would come to our school if we finished at lunch time. School days are 6 hours long I think that it should finish at 12 instead of at 3 pm. The first school was found in 1796,First you go to pre school and then kindergarten and then you go to primary and then intermediate next you go to high school and then you can go to College or course.

Horace Mann was the person who created school in 1796 in Massachusetts. University of Bologna is the oldest school in the world. School exists because it is to help people learn. In school you can do math's, PE different languages, Reading and writing you can do different technology's and much more. You need to go to school so you can learn heaps so that you can get a good job, After you finish at high school you can go to college or Course which is basically where you learn more things that you maybe not learn in high school. I think that school days should be shorter because you will have more time to yourself and to spend with friends and family.

I think that school days should only be 4 hours so that you have more time to yourself and with friends and family. If y you have any  over due school work that needs to be complete you can finish at home when you dont have anything to do. You would have more time to do things that need to be complete at home like house work or anything that needs to be done. We should also not have home work to do if school days are shorter. This is why I think that school days should be shorter.

 Should year 7-8 Be allowed there phones at school

Kia ora fellow readers today in class we are doing some more persuasive writing about should year 7-8s be allowed there phones at school.

I think that  year 7-8 should be allowed there phones a t school because if there parents need to get in contact with them about something  and they can also listen to music, If there is an emergency at home and you are not allowed to have your phone at school then they will have to ring the reception and get them to tell you. This is why I think you should be allowed to bring your phone to school.

 Wants 

Today in class we were writing about a want they people would like to have I chose to do mine about pets, Miss birtch put us into groups and n the different groups it is how many paragraphs you have to write a paragraph is 6-8 sentences, I have to write 2 paragraphs 

I think that People want pets to keep them company and when they get bored they can give their pets cuddles and pats, People like pets because they are fun to look after but are sometimes hard to look after. There are so many different types of pets such as Cats,Dogs fish if you live on a farm you can get horses and all sorts of more animals.  I think that people like to have different types of pets if you get 1 bunny you might want to get another because otherwise your bunny would be lonely. this is why I think that people want pets to keep them company.
