I finished doing all of the activities from the winter learning journey my last one was activity four I had to create future transport so I made an example of an electric plane using cardboard boxes and plastics cups and plates .Here is a picture of my creation

 Learning Journey activity 13

Today I am doing activity 13 I had to explain 5 reasons I want to become a citizen of my country of research I am researching about the country I live in which is new Zealand because I wanted to learn more about New Zealand.

1.I love living In New Zealand because there are so many cool places to go.

2. I love all of the beautiful rivers that we can swim in and the lakes and oceans.

3.We are known for being one of the tidiest country's in the world.

4.There are amazing places to go camping.

5.Woman are able to vote

Today for the winter learning journey I am doing activity 7,I had to research about a cultural dance or song from my country of research and then explain it on my blog.

I have chosen to explain about kapa Haka, it is preformed by mostly Maori, it shows emotion and a powerful combination of dance and singing, basically you just listen to the song and then do the actions there are o many schools that do kapa haka in new Zealand.

Today I am doing activity 2 of the winter learning Journey, I had to research about the great Migration
and where it happens each year also what animals are included and why it happens and then I had to make a screencastify explaining it.

 Winter Learning Journey (activity 1)

Today for the winter learning journey I did activity 1 I had to read about Sadako and the 1000 paper cranes. Click here to go to Sadako's story

 I learned that in Japan there is a thing if you fold 1000 paper cranes you will get a wish and it sometimes come true, I tried to fold 1 paper crane but it did not work out so I put in the bin I will try and get better at origami.

I chose to do activity 9 in the winter learning journey I had to design a new sports uniform so I did one for girls rugby Here is my work:

Through out the school holidays I have been working on the learning journey, I am doing activity 12 there are 20 different activity's We had to research about Burkina faso and Verkhoyansk and decided what place we would rather live in. I would rather live in Burkina faso Because they have cool looking water falls and it just looks more cooler to live in. They also have a cool forest with elephants and things like that.

Winter Learning Journey (activtiy 19)

 Winter Learning Journey

Through out the school holidays I have been working on the learning journey, I am doing activity 19 there are 20 different activity's and I'm working on my 11th one. I had to choose a town in the country I am researching which new Zealand and then plan a two week holiday there I chose to plan a trip in Queenstown. Here is my holiday plan:

Day 1:

Ride the gondola and watch the beautiful view

Day 2:

 Do the super man style bungee jump

Day 3:

Going skiing at Coronet Peak

Day 4:

 Ride the Luge around the hill and down the track

Day 5: 

watch the newest movie at the cinemas

Day 6:

Get lost in the Odyssey sensory Maze

Day 7:

Go for a swim at the Alpine aqua Land

Day 8:

Go Ice skating 

Day 9: 

Go on the cruise across Lake Wakatipu

Day 10:

Eat a few burger at Fergburger and then go back to accommodation and watch Netflix on phone

Day 11:

Watch the sunset and sun rise over lake Wakatipu

Day 12:

Explore the Queenstown gardens.

Day 13:

Visit the Kiwi bird life wild Centre.

Day 14:

Go to the Queenstown arts and crafts market.

 I chose to do activity number 10 for the winter learning journey Here is my Screencastify about New Zealand the learning journey is where you do a whole bunch of activity's over the school holidays and then post your work onto your blog so that you have not lost anything you learned over the term because of the school holidays, You do not have to do the learning journey but I always get bored at night so I do the activity's then.

I chose to do activity 16 when you have to compose a song about the country you chose to research I have to make my song about New Zealand.

Kiwiana is a New Zealand thing, Ice creams, Jandals, Vegemite. Pavlova is a New Zealand Christmas dessert but is all around the world now. New Zealanders main languages are English and Maori

Hello fellow readers through out the school there is a thing called the learning journey which is basically you just do blogpost and learn about different things so that we do not lose anything we learned throughout the term. I chose to do activity 8 which is where we had to research a popular attraction in the country that we are researching about, I'm researching New Zealand my home country, My attraction that I am making a poster about is the Christchurch Attractions. Through out the school holidays there is  a thing called the learning journey where you do different activity's and post it onto your blog so that you do not lose anything you learned over the school term.  I chose to do activity 5 where you interview someone in your family and ask them about there favorite place in the world, I am interviewing my mum here is what she said:

My mum said that her favorite place of all places is Gore Bay, Which is 1.5 hour  drive from Christchurch, We had a Batch right on the ocean  so we spent most of our time growing up there. There was the beach , the walks , parks and the rock pools right by the cliff.

Winter learning Journey 2021 (activity 11)

 Winter Learning Journey 2021

Through out the school holidays there is a thing called the learning journey so that we do not lose anything that we have learned throughout the term. I chose to do activity 11 which is researching a sport of the country that you have chose to research. I chose to research about New Zealand.

One of the most Popular sports in New Zealand is rugby, there are 500 rugby clubs throughout new Zealand. Basically what you do is just kick the ball into the goals to score but you are able to tackle the other players, You are sometimes able to throw the ball to a team mate. Rugby is not that hard to learn.
