Autumn learning Journey

these school holidays there is a fun thing to do called the Autumn learning Journey where you have a range of activities and can choose what one you want to do this time its about music I have chosen to do activity 12 which is would you rather have no rhythm or only be able to sing off key? why?

I chose that I would rather have no rhythm because I would rather be able to sing in the right tune.

Lolly Flavours Mystery Test

 

Aim: To taste different lollies and determine if the colour of the lolly indicates there flavour and how much the sour tastes masks there flavour

Hypothesis I think that some of the flavours will be easy to identify

Method:

1. Each person in the group will test two lollies

2. Each person will be blindfolded

Today in class if we had finished our cultural Kete work then we had to do a 200 word challenge bout a picture our teacher gave us here is what the picture is: 

Here is my story:

One day there was a cultural show all of the performers were up onstage waiting to  begin and all of the audience had there cultural flags waving around and then boom the show started,Music started to play really loud and the audience were screaming they began to do different dances and sing different songs some [people were talking about how amazing their cultures were and some people got into debates with other people  because they thought there culture, was better then others but then the other person thought there culture was better. at the end of the performance there were very loud and colourful fireworks that were all different colours such as Blue,Yellow,Pink,Green,Orange and black.

Story

Once upon a time there was a girl named Karlia she lived in a very small village every day she got up to make sure her horse was ready for the day, and she could she her horses shadow which was basically just a reflection of the horse showing on the ground. Usually every morning her horse was ready to go riding through the village delivering food parcels to peoples houses but this time the horse was not ready she had scratches all over her face,she was not able to walk on one leg so Karlia lifted up on of her legs and then her horses reaction was not very good she yelped and wined at Karlia,then she realised that one of the horses hooves had MASSIVE cracks on one of them.

In class we have been working on a cultural kete  I have been researching kiwiana and then I put together a list of 10 things that come from new Zealand. Aim: I want to find out what happens when gummy bears are put into different soulutions.

Equipment

1. 4x gummy bears of the same colour 

2. 2x Petri dishes

3. Paper towels

4. marker pen

5. water

6. sugar water

method

1.Get your equipment

2. Label petri dishes with Dry,water,Salt water and sugar water.

3.weigh the gummy bears and label the weight on the petri dish

4.add 40 ml of the solution into the petri dish

Diffusion the movement of any substance from a higher concentration to a lower concentration.

Osmosis:The movement of liquids or gases through a semi permeable membrane.
