Jacinda Ardern

 Jacinda Ardern

Today in reading my group was reading about Jacinda Ardern and then we had to write a paragraph on our blog about why she is a Heroic leader.

Jacinda Ardern grew up in Morrinsville where she often saw children with no shoes or no lunch and no thing they needed . That inspired Jacinda Ardern to join the politics,She got involved in the political world  very young and joined the labour party with her aunty at 17 years old. In 2011 she ran in Auckland to get votes but she lost by 717 votes. In 2014 she lost again in Auckland but only by 600 votes. In 2017 she won and finally became her dream to become a Prime Minister. The first female was Jenny Shepply.

100 word challenge

 100 word challenge

Today our teacher is on away on a course so we have a reliever and we are doing a 100 word challenge. Today our picture is based on St Patricks day . Here is the picture we have to write about:

St patricks day was first celebrated in Ireland in 1631, Leprechauns we part of the reason you are supposed to wear green on st Patrick's day because wearing green used to make you invisible to leprechauns. St Patrick's day was originally celebrated for some religious reasons and then after a few years everywhere in the world started to celebrate it. Yesterday was St Paticks day. Each leaf off the clovers apparently represent the mother, father and children from the holy family.
