One day there was a girl Called Esha she was going for a walk in a enchanted forest. Then she came across a house she went up to a window of the house and looked in She said "It looks Abandoned". Then she walked up to the door and pulled on the handle it was unlocked so she walked inside there was absolutely nothing in there so she decided she would move  in. The day she moved in she heard ghost sounds so then she hid in the closet and fell asleep.

This weeks school bell is All she wrote by six 60 and this we week we had some research to do about them, We had to research What is the name of the song? What is the song about? Who are the members of Six 60? When did the band form and where? What do you think of the themed/Music bells?

The name is all she wrote, the song is about all she wrote and growing up ad getting older. the members of six60 band are: Eli paewai , Chris Mac , Ji Fraser , Marlon Gerbes , Matiu Walters and Hoani Matenga. The band was created in 2008 in New Zealand. I like our schools themed music bells.

There used to be 7 stars but now there are 9 but two are very faint.

The 7 stars are called the seven sisters.

 Omeo Research

In class today we are working on our reading work were we had to read about a thing called Omeos and then we had to answer some questions.

1.In your own words write a short paragraph 3-5 sentences about what an Omeo is.

In Omeo is a life changing creation. Because it is a wheel chair.  Instead of having to push it with your hands it is automatic. So that means it pushes it self and you just have to steer it in the right direction.

2.List at least  2 ways a Omeo is different from a traditional man powered wheel chair.

1. It is automatic so that you do not have to push it using your hands.

2. All you have to do is just steer it in the right direction and not power it.

3.What is one of most liberating things about the Omeo?

That it can go almost everywhere even on the beach you can switch modes so it can go on the beach.

4. Think of some thing  you use in your life,what modifications could be made to it to make it more easy for people with a visible or invisible disability.

Being able to go in the water at the beach maybe they could make a water proof wheelchair and a very shallow pool so they can still sort of go in the water.

 Fantastic Mr Fox

Today in class we were working on novel study where we had to read chapters 7-9 and then answer some questions in full sentences on  our blog. 

1. How does Roald Dahl make us dislike farmers?

 Because the farmer  tried to kill the fox.

2.Why does he encourage the readers to like the foxes and dislike the farmers.

Because the Farmers are quite rude and dislike the foxes.

3.Why does Roald Dahl call the Tractors"Murderous brutal looking monsters"?

Because they look different to other things and I think that he doesn't like them.

4.What is the race who is competing?

The 3 Farmers

5.What happened to the hill? why are the farmers so determined to get to the foxes?

Because the foxes always steal food from there farms.

6.What do you feel about the foxes? How does the author make you feel like this?Why does he do this?

He makes me think that the foxes are okay they are just trying to get food to feed his family,I reckon that the foxes should not be harmed because they are trying to catch there food.

7.The three farmers  all swear a solemn Oath. What does this mean?Have you ever made a promise to some and has some one every made a promise to you?

A Solemn Oath means a promise, Yes I have made a promise to someone before,Yes someone has made a promise to me before.

8.What was Mr foxes plan?

His plan was to go to one of the farms and get some dinner for his family.

9.Are you enjoying this story so far? What has been your favourite part?

Yes I have enjoyed this story so far, Finding out about the foxes home.

100 word invention challenge

 100 word invention challenge

Today in class we were doing a 100 word challenge about inventions we could not live without.

I could not live without my phone because it is a good way to keep in contact with your family if there is a problem or you just want to talk to someone  and you can also take lots of photos and stuff and watch videos and listen to music also you can play games.If  you needed to reiceive emails from like groups and different stuff

 Novel Study

Today in class we have been working on some of our novel study work we had to read chapters 4-6 and then do some activities,This weeks activities is answering a whole bunch of questions about the characters and stuff like that.

1.Name the three farmers and describe them.

Bean is mean because he wanted to kill the foxes and he  has turkey on his farm.

Boggis has chicken on his farm and is a very smart person because he already knew where the foxes lived.

Bunce said that the fox want be coming out of his house anytime soon.

2.who was in Mr foxes family?

Mr Fox,Mrs Fox and 4 little ones.

3.What could the fox family have for dinner if they went to bunces farm?

They could have A duck or a geese.

4.Why were the three farmers waiting outside the fox and why had they chosen that particular spot?

They chose that spot because that is where the fox lived and they were waiting for him to come out so they could shoot him.

5.Why did the fox Prick is ears?

Because he heard something outside of there house.

6.What effect did the sight of the shovel have on Mr Fox?

It scared him so he said that they would have to move out and find a new place to live.

7.Describe the character Mr Fox

He was the fox who always went to get his family dinner and the farmers shot his tail so Mrs fox had to lick it to stop it from bleeding.

8.Why was wind direction important to Mr fox?

Because he knew what direction he was supposed to go.

9.What do you think will happen next in the story?

I think that they will move houses and then the farmers will find them again.

10.What was your favourite part so far?

I have enjoyed all of it.

 Don't Go

Today in class we watched a video called Don't Go which  was about a pink creature  and a cat. Then we had unlimited words to write about the story or make up a story using some of the things we saw in that video.  Here is a link to the video clip : Click here to watch the video is my story:

The pink creature is a Alien who just got dropped off from a UFO and landed on earth,He got dropped off on top of someones house and then when he went inside the house he found out it was abandoned and that they had left food all over the ground and everywhere so now the only things who lives in the house is the alien and a black cat called Midnight, At first the cat was scared of the alien but after they had been around each other  they became best friends. The cat went upto some of the left over food and took a big bite out of it and then went and curled up on the couch and went to sleep.

 Zorbs

Today in class we were learning about our different reading group names my reading group is called Zorbs so we had to research and find out different things about them.

Who invented Zorbs ?Andrew Akers ,In 1994 they were created .What is the purpose Zorbing is the recreation or sport of rolling down the hill in zorbs. How has Zorbs changed the world.Changed the world by letting people walk on water.Why did they  come up with the idea to let people play on the beach in big ball things and to walk on water.They can be used as a hamster wheel thing if you go onto your knees and then crawl up and down the wall.

Telephone

In class today we were learning what the most important invention was and then we had to do a blog post before we could go home.

I think the most important invention is telephone because then you can talk to important people and if you had to ring someone to make an appointment then you would probably use your telephone it is very helpful and great when you need to use it.

 100 Word Challenge

One day there was a girl she went for a walk along the beach,then she found some magic stairs so she went for a walk up them to find out where they went she walked to the top and then she ended up in a place called Pixi land which there was a lots of little fairys floating around and then she walked in found out that was her new house.

 Novel study

in class we are doing novel study but before we could read the book we had to answer some questions that our teacher gave us. I am reading Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl.

1. I think that the Fox might be a naughty fox and steal stuff from other people.

2. yes Ive watched the BFG and also read the book about the BFG

3. Mr Fox  always steals a chicken from a farm every time a farmer trys to scare him off he has a mind of his own and trys to ignore them
