Through out hurumanu 2 for the past week we have been doing abstract art were the teacher gave us 3 words which were fear,growth,love . We had to draw what we think about that but without drawing actual pictures you just had to mix different shapes and lines and stuff like that together. Here is a picture of my art:

I dont think my art is the best work I could do but I like anyways.

 100 word challenge

Today in class we got given a picture we had to write at least 100 words about the picture, and then post our story on our blog:

Here is my hundred word story:

One day there was a pug dog named Bellah that ran away from home , and found itself walking down a path through a forest. when it came across a blanket and grabbed it because she was cold.  Then suddenly a fox came up to her and said do you want to be my friend the poor pug got so frightened and replied NO NO NO just before she dashed away and went to hide in a bush where she stayed for 2 weeks until her owners came out looking for her. When her owners finally found her they were so happy.

For the past 2 days we have been working on blackout poetry on paper but today we are doing it on our device we used a website called Blackout poetry maker. Here are my 3 poems there are two screenshots for the same poem because I could not get it all to fit into one screen shot.  They are words out of storeys some of them are from Alice in wonderland, Pride and prejudice  and Heart of Darkness. I preferred the digital one more then the one on paper because it was more fun and I could actually make up storeys that made some sense.

Pink Shirt Day Dlo

 Pink Shirt Day 

This week we have been working on make a DLO about pink shirt day which is on October the 16th. It started in Canada in 2007 and is now being celebrated everywhere in the world. It started when a boy wore a pink shirt to school on his first day at his new school.  He got bullied and called lots of different names. I was working in a group to create our DLO with two other people. Here is our DLO:

Blackout Poetry

 Blackout Poetry

It is a new term and also the final term of the year. Every term we change hurumanu. This term we are doing art as one of our hurumanu classes. For the past two days we have been doing blackout poetry. Which is when you have a piece of paper out of a newspaper and make a poem or short story using that,you box the words you want to keep and black out the words you dont want to keep. I made two poems,I had fun but towards the end I got bored. For black out poetry you need a piece of newspaper, A black ballpoint pen, Black vivid. Here are the steps that you need to follow to do blackout poetry.

1. Get inspired google blackout poetry.

2.Box the words you want to keep.

3. Black out the words you dont want to keep.

4. Cut out your poem or story.

5. Glue your poem or story onto a piece of coloured paper or onto black card.

This was the first story i did and it says: 

A man told his family the fire started before racing uphill. Dark smoke about 5.45pm that day,So told his daughter get the cat and dog and put them into the four wheeled drive. His wife Janine was in queens town at the time but drove back threw the night arriving at 5.30am the next day.

My second story says: When the liar made it into the new episode of death and legal drama.
