Navigation in space

Today in science class we are working on learning about navigation in space and the teacher gave us some questions that we needed to answer and put on our blog. 

 The first question is" What is a solar system"? My Answer to what a solar system is, A solar system is The world and all of the planets above it are all rotating (This is what I believe a solar system is). 

 Question number 2 is: what is the milky way an example of? My answer to that question is that a milky way is billions of solar systems all in one area.

 Question number 3 is: What is a star? My answer is a star is a really big ball of Gas and it produces heaps of heat to heat up heaps of air and it also produces heaps of light, They are in space and really big and shining but when you look up into the sky and see them at night they look very small.

Question number 4 is what is a Nebula my answer to what a nebula is, is that it is a giant cloud of dust and gas in space.

Question number 5 is how does a star die? My answer is nuclear gas is exhausted most of the massive stars blow up and die.

question number 6 is , Is there an up and down in space? My answer is no there is not because of the gravity you will just stay down.

Question number 7 is,  How  can stars be used to navigate. My answer is that astronauts have got something special to keep the stars navigated.

Gold Rush

Many people came from difference t places of the world to do gold mining. There is  also a  gold rushing thing in shanty town which is quite cool. There were heaps of Otago gold rushers in 1800. Apparently the west coast is a Ghost town.

Today during class we were using flags to send a message to our buddy's by using lines and dots me and Tane used a Morse code we had to use an animal name for our words. My word was panda and tanes word was Dolphin. Here is a photo of the morse code alphabet

Primary and secondary

Primary and secondary

Today in Hurumanu 1 we are learning about the differences between primary and secondary. Then I had to post what I had learned on my blog. It is important to know the difference between primary and secondary because if you were reading a book or watching the news and they were talking about primary or secondary things. Than you would know what they mean and stuff like that.
The difference between primary and secondary is that primary is like first hand. Primary things are like letters, Newspaper reports and things like that which was made at the same time as the advent like if there was a war and someone was writing a story about the war at the same time it was happening, Then it would be primary. Secondary is like if someone had made a movie or a letter or newspaper report about the war after it had happened than that would be classed as secondary so anything recorded or written after the advent had happened than that would be secondary. But anything recorded at the same time as the advent would be primary.  I think that if something was recorded after the advent than they might be lieing if they are not adding a lot of detail and they called it secondary.

My Baking during the covid 19 lock down

Baking and cooking

During lock down I did quite abit of baking and cooking I also cooked my family dinner on two different nights I really enjoyed doing baking and cooking during lock down it was quite fun. Today I thought I would share some of the baking that I had done.

When I cooked my family's dinner, on the first night I cooked sausage muffins. On the second night I cooked Nachos everybody in my family loved my baking and cooking. Except my sister thought that the nachos were to spicy.
